This listing is for a real pressed plant botanical specimens. Inspired by scientific herbarium specimens, it is an artistic presentation of pressed plants.
Eufloria specializes in wildflowers of the Southwest collected responsibly from their natural habitats or grown in my garden in Santa Fe. We have an inventory of nearly 40 wildflowers that changes through the seasons. Many flower varieties are listed on our shop for purchase, and many are not. Please contact me if you are interested in a flower variety not currently listed.
These listing is for unframed botanical sheets that you want to frame or hang yourself. The plants are mounted on acid-free, high-quality (320 gsm), watercolor paper handmade in India. Each piece has an embossed Eufloria logo at the bottom to remind you of the joy of flowers.
We offer limited customizations for our botanical sheets: select your size and label style.
Available sizes:
A3 (12x16.5)
A4 (8.25x11.5)
A5 (5.83x8.27)
A6 (4.1×5.8)
Label options include:
- A collection label with scientific name, common name, Family name, location and date collected.
The placement of the collection label varies on each piece, depending on best artistic spacing.
- Plant name written in calligraphy style
- No label
The piece comes in a protective plant-based and compostable cellophane bag with sealed flap to protect it during shipping.
These individual Botanical Sheets are intended for you to mat and frame yourself. We highly recommend framing with a spacer to preserve the flower without it touching the glass. For a more casual look instead of framing these, I suggest hanging multiple specimens from stylish clothespins on a wire or on clipboards. Check the Eufloria shop for pieces that come already framed.
The plant has been pressed for a minimum of 6 weeks in accordance with professional herbarium standards to maximize the quality and longevity of its color. Please note that, as with all dried plants, these are susceptible to fading or changing color over time. The speed and degree varies from plant to plant, but all will eventually take on a nice vintage look. Hang them out of direct sunlight to extend their color.
