FAQs

Orders & Products

Q: What kinds of products do you offer?
A: We offer a range of botanical-art products: pressed and mounted wildflowers on watercolor paper i.e. Botanical Sheets, framed herbaria, curated botanical collections (e.g. “Victorian Vintage,” “Guardian Plants,” “Greenest Branch,” etc.), greeting cards, and custom herbaria designs.

Q: What are “Botanical Sheets”?
A: Botanical Sheets are real pressed plant specimens, mounted on high-quality, handmade, acid-free watercolor paper. They are unframed — to be matted and framed by you, or displayed creatively (e.g. clipped, hung with clothespins, etc.).

Q: What sizes and options are available for Botanical Sheets?
A: Available sizes are A6, A5, A4, and A3. With custom orders, you can also choose the “label style” — scientific/collection-style label, calligraphy, or no label.

Q: Do you offer framed art or only unframed sheets?
A: Yes — there are framed pieces available in the Framed Herbaria Collections, in addition to unframed sheets.

Q: Can I request a custom botanical art piece?
A: Yes. Eufloria offers custom orders. You can choose flower species, framing, mat color, size, number of botanical sheets, label style — basically tailor the piece to your taste or space. See Custom Herbaria

How It’s Made & Materials / Sustainability

Q: Are the plants real, or illustrations?
A: They are real — pressed and mounted actual wildflowers, responsibly collected (or garden-grown) in the American Southwest, often in or near Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Q: What paper / materials are used?
A: Plants are mounted on high-quality, handmade, acid-free watercolor paper (320 gsm), imported from India. For framed pieces, mats and frames are chosen to highlight the plant’s beauty, Top mats are acid free, fade resistant art paper in various colors. Each Framed Collection has a certain theme and uses good quality wood frames that suit that theme.

Q: How long have plants been pressed before mounting?
A: At least six weeks, following professional herbarium standards — to maximize longevity and preserve the plant’s form and color.

Q: Will the pressed flowers fade or change color over time?
A: Possibly — as with all dried plant matter, there is some risk of fading or color shift over time. To minimize this, we recommend hanging them out of direct sunlight and moisture, using a spacer when framing so the plant doesn’t touch the glass, and using UV blocking glass or acrylic.

Custom Orders & Special Projects

Q: What if I want a botanical art piece made from plants growing on my land?
A: Great — Eufloria offers a special “Herbarium of Your Place” experience. For 2026, you can reserve a custom herbarium made from wildflowers growing closest to your home or land. The process involves plant identification, collection, pressing, and designing a custom framed piece + a PDF “natural history + story” booklet.

Q: How do I request a custom order?
A: Send me an email to inquire about custom orders at eufloriabotanicart@gmail.com and I’ll guide you through the process. No commitment required for inquiries. You can also visit on the Custom Orders page to reach out (email or contact form) and describe what you have in mind — e.g. species preferences, frame size, mat & label style, number of plants, etc.

Q: What if the flower species I want isn’t currently in stock?
A: That’s not a problem — you can request special or uncommon species. With enough lead time and planning, Eufloria may be able to accommodate your request.

Shipping, Care & Preservation

Q: How will my order be packaged and shipped?
A: Botanical Sheets come in a protective, plant-based compostable cellophane bag with sealed flap to protect them during shipping. This is sandwiched between layers of cardboard for protection. Framed pieces are shipped in bubble wrap in cardboard boxes.

Q: How should I care for my pressed botanical art once I receive it?
A: For best preservation, frame with a spacer so the plant doesn’t touch glass; hang out of direct sunlight to slow fading; avoid humid or damp places; treat gently — dried plants can be fragile. (As with any pressed botanicals, time and light will affect color over decades.)
