This large-format Botanical Study Set brings together nine species from the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico, each hand-gathered, individually pressed, and mounted on handmade watercolor paper (360 gsm) imported from India. The nine botanical sheets are arranged as a cohesive composition and framed together in a rustic natural wood frame with a wheat-colored mat — a unified work of art that tells the story of an entire mountain ecosystem.
Every species is accompanied by a herbarium label listing its common name, scientific name, plant family, location, and date of collection — in the tradition of the great naturalists. Together, they form a botanical herbarium that is equal parts science, art, and love letter to the wild.
