Nine wildflowers. One mountain. A living portrait of the high-elevation Southwest — preserved forever.
This large-format Botanical Study Set brings together nine species from the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico, each hand-gathered, individually pressed, and mounted on handmade watercolor paper (360 gsm) imported from India. The nine botanical sheets are arranged as a cohesive composition and framed together in a rustic natural wood frame with a wheat-colored mat — a unified work of art that tells the story of an entire mountain ecosystem.
Every species is accompanied by a herbarium label listing its common name, scientific name, plant family, location, and date of collection — in the tradition of the great naturalists. Together, they form a botanical herbarium that is equal parts science, art, and love letter to the wild.
These large-format pieces make a commanding statement above a sofa, in an entryway, a library, or any space that calls for art with depth and meaning.
This is an original pressed plant artwork — not a print or reproduction. Only 1 available.
Artwork size: 22×28" | External frame size: 27×33.5" | Frame: rustic natural wood | Conservation acrylic glazing
Each piece is top-matted — the handmade watercolor paper with its deckled edges sits on top of the mat, keeping the plant and the paper fully visible rather than covered. The frame includes spacers so the plants are never in contact with the glass.
Ready to hang. Ships carefully packaged.
