Ferns
Lady fern (Athyrium filix-femina) and Western Bracken Fern (Pteridium aquilinum) hand collected and pressed from the Jemez Mountains (Southern Rockies) of New Mexico. The pressed fern is mounted on archival quality black or white watercolor. Bottom of paper is embossed with the Eufloria seal.
Option to add a natural oak frame with tempered glass. Frame size is 9x12. Each of these pieces is unique. Note that I have several of these available. Please select the type of fern, watercolor paper, and frame or no frame.
These works are made with the original pressed plants that I hand collected, they are not prints.
**Please note that all dried plants are susceptible to fading or changing color over time. All my plants are pressed for 6-12 weeks in accordance with herbarium standards to maximize their color and quality. The speed and degree of fading varies from plant to plant, but all will eventually take on a nice vintage look. Hanging this piece out of direct sunlight will preserve the color for longer.
The plants were collected responsibly, sustainably, and honoring nature in the process. See my blog post on my website eufloriabotanicart.com/blog for more information on my ethics on wildflower collection.
