This collection was inspired by my guidebook, Best Wildflower Hikes New Mexico, where I document some of the most breathtaking trails and wildflower hotspots across the state. While writing and exploring for the book, I was constantly struck by how each hike revealed a new palette of flowers depending on the season, elevation, and terrain. On my walks through the Southwest’s mountains and deserts, I encounter different wildflowers in June than in July, and again new blooms in August and September. Original pressed plants: Not prints — these are real flowers harvested and pressed during my walks.
Plant variety: Each collection features 3–10 wildflower species, carefully selected for their beauty and seasonal significance.
Mounting & framing: Plants are mounted on deckled-edge, handmade watercolor paper, top-matted on fade-resistant art paper, and framed in whitewash frames with silver lining.
Labeling: Calligraphy labels indicate the month and location of collection, with both common and scientific plant names.
