Victorian Vintage

$120.00

This listing is for a real pressed plant botanical specimens. Inspired by herbarium specimens, it is an artistic presentation of delicate wildflowers which I collected from the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico.

The Victorian Vintage style is framed in a gold wood frame with a ivy or sage green mat for a classic vintage look.

Frame dimensions: 8x10"

Outside dimensions: 10x12"

Other wildflower varieties in gold frames available include:

Rocky Mountain Bee Plant

Common Dandelion

Cinquefoil

Pussytoes

Purple (Sticky) Geranium

Golden Banner

Golden Columbine

I have an inventory of nearly 40 wildflowers, please contact me if you are interested in other flower varieties available not listed here.

The plants are mounted on acid-free, high-quality (320 gsm), off-white watercolor paper handmade in India. A collection label is also included with the specimen scientific name, common name, Family name, location and date collected. The placement of the collection label varies on each piece, depending on best design spacing. Ivy or sage green fade-resistant art paper is used for top matting. I use top matting to show off the beauty of the plant and the handmade watercolor paper.

The plant has been pressed for a minimum of 6 weeks in accordance with professional herbarium standards to maximize the quality and longevity of its color. Please note that, as with all dried plants, these are susceptible to fading or changing color over time. The speed and degree varies from plant to plant, but all will eventually take on a nice vintage look. Hang them out of direct sunlight to extend their color.

The plants were collected responsibly, sustainably, and honoring nature in the process. See my blog post on my website eufloriabotanicart.com/blog for more information on my ethics on wildflower collection.
